    "Total Asia Food" is the trading name of three separate limited companies, one for each depot. Each company is an independent data controller for the personal information it holds, and each is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office in its own right. Where this policy says "we" or "us", it means the company that operates the depot you deal with.

    For any question about your personal information, or to exercise any of the rights in section 7, you can contact us at admincardiff@totalasiafood.com and we will pass your request to the right company.

    2. What information we collect

    We collect personal information in two situations.

    Enquiries made through this website

    When you complete the enquiry form we collect your name, business name (if given), email address, telephone number (if given), the customer type you select, and the content of your message.

    Trade and membership accounts opened in our depots

    When you register for a trade account or membership at one of our depots we collect your name, business name, telephone number and, where provided, your email address and business details. We use this to operate your account, apply loyalty pricing and contact you about your orders.

    This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie used by our staff to sign in to an internal administration page; it is not set for ordinary visitors.

    We may contact business customers about our products, prices and promotions by telephone, SMS, email or messaging apps. Every marketing message will identify us as the sender and will tell you how to stop receiving them. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text message, by emailing us, or by telling any member of depot staff. We keep a record of opt-out requests so that we do not contact you again.

    We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate our business — for example our website hosting provider and, where used, a messaging provider — and only so far as they need it to provide that service. We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

This website is a showcase of the kind of products we stock — it is not an online shop. You cannot place an order or buy anything through this site, and nothing on it is an offer to sell.

    4. Food information and allergens

    Product descriptions on this site are short summaries written for browsing. They are not a substitute for the information on the product itself.

    Always read the label on the actual product before you buy, prepare or serve it. Manufacturers change recipes, ingredients and packaging without notice, and imported lines may differ between batches. If you or your customers have a food allergy or intolerance, rely only on the ingredients and allergen information printed on the pack you have in your hand. If anything is unclear, ask our depot staff before you buy.

    We try to keep the site available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it at any time without notice.

    Please read these before visiting Bristol, Cardiff or Newport. They keep everyone safe in a working warehouse.

    1. Everyone is welcome

    Our depots are open to the public. You do not need a membership, a trade card or a business account to shop with us — anyone can walk in, browse and buy. Trade customers, restaurants, takeaways, shops and members of the public are all equally welcome, and you can buy a single item just as easily as a full case or pallet.

    That said, our depots are working warehouses with forklift and pallet movements, so the rules below apply to everyone on site. Entry remains at the discretion of depot management and we may ask anyone to leave; anyone who refuses to leave when asked is trespassing.

    For their own safety, children must be supervised by an adult at all times and must not ride on trolleys or pallet trucks. Please keep them with you throughout your visit.

    4. Vehicles and parking

    Vehicles and their contents are left on our premises entirely at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to any vehicle or its contents. Please drive slowly on site and give way to loading operations.

    You are responsible for the cost of any damage you cause to our premises, equipment or stock. Please do not leave trade waste at our depots — you will need your own licensed waste carrier for that.

    Our depots are monitored by CCTV for the safety of customers and staff and for the prevention of crime. Footage is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

    There are no active recall or withdrawal notices at this time. Any current notices will be published on this page and, where we hold your details, sent to affected trade customers directly.

    1. Withdrawal and recall — the difference

    A withdrawal removes a product from sale before it reaches the consumer. A recall goes further and asks customers who already have the product to return or dispose of it. As a food business we are required to act on both, and to pass the information on to the businesses we have supplied.

    Where a recall affects products we have supplied and we hold your contact details as a trade customer, we will contact you directly by phone, message or email. Notices are also displayed in each depot and published on this page. This is one of the reasons we ask trade customers to keep their contact details with us up to date.

    4. Telling us about a problem

    If you have a food safety concern about anything you bought from us — foreign matter, damaged or swollen packaging, a labelling error, or an allergen not declared — please contact your depot straight away, or email us at admincardiff@totalasiafood.com. If you still have the product and its packaging, please keep them; the batch code is what lets us trace the affected stock.

    5. National alerts

    The Food Standards Agency publishes all UK food alerts, including products we may not stock. You can view them at food.gov.uk/news-alerts, and you can subscribe there to receive them by email.
